True. This is actually how I read his answer.

The thing is, we’ve reached the point where capitalism has proven itself to be unsustainable. When we are having to fly baby formula across the ocean because a corporation decided its profits were more important than the health and wellbeing of babies, this is the result.

True. This is actually how I read his answer. He is pointing the finger at greedy corporations. As you point out, though, the government could have stepped in sooner.
