It’s true that in some ways Black communities were better off before integration. That is, if you don’t count lack of access to broader privileges, such as manageable home and car loans, and non-existent business loans. And if you disregard racist violence that erupted toward those communities with no warning. Often. I have a beautiful, amazing half Black son. I fell in love with his Dad for his gentle giant attributes. His son is the same. I am the one who has taught my son African and African American history. I had learned it myself before ever dating a Black man. I now prefer Black men, as they inherently understand the struggle all women have for true equality. But I won’t date men who won’t date Black women. That’s a sure sign I am a fetish. And, I do date other ethnicities as well, including my own. I have run into those who exhibit white male privilege. I educate them and move on.
