It is and it isn’t. There are so many reasons children don’t know how to handle their emotions. You are raising Sophie to be very wise. Also, BPD is more than labile emotions. Otherwise Sophie’s friend could be diagnosed as that. But she sounds like a child who experiences jealousies and need for attention in fairly common ways for her age.
