Good article. If only it really were satire. The measuring skirt length thing happened to me in the 70s. In the 2000s I fought with the school over dress codes for all the kids. They decided a good way to keep kids from identifying with gangs was to dress everyone in white shirts and khakis. Up the street, that’s exactly what the main gang was wearing. Irony personified.
