Evocative words and images you’ve created to tell what parenting feels like, and how to deal with the guilt.
I was thinking just this morning of all the things I failed to teach my now 30 year old son.
Still, I practice what you do. I own my mistakes, both internally and to my son. I’m a therapist who can’t be his therapist, but we’ve worked through some deep trauma together, I’ve learned to listen better to him, and we are now kind to one another.
Nothing has the potential to purify the soul like parenting.
